Introduction:
Low melting point colorless to light yellow mite-like solid, with pome-like aroma. Soluble in water, but turbid, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol. Boiling point 108-111ºC or 85ºC (Chemicalbook400Pa). Relative density (d448) 1.1334, refractive index (nD48) 1.6231. Natural products exist in peanuts and hazelnuts.
Application:
