Introduction:
Physical and chemical properties
Appearance: colorless to light yellow solid.
Melting point: 83-92ºC.
Boiling point: 90-110ºC (15mmHg).
Density: 0.976g/cm³.
Refractive index: 1.444.
Flash point: 96ºC.
Solubility: slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol.
Smell: has a characteristic aroma of tobacco with a cool feeling, as well as phenolic and candy-like aromas.

Preparation method
Isophorone oxidation method: using isophorone as a raw material, nicotinamide is synthesized by oxidation reaction, with a yield of about 73%.
3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanone method: using 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanone as a starting material to synthesize nicotinamide, with a yield of about 62%.
