Synthesis method: There are many methods for the synthesis of 2-formylthiazole. The traditional method is often prepared by the reaction of α-haloaldehyde or ketone with thioamide. There are also literature reports that thiazole compounds are synthesized by using raw materials such as benzaldehyde and cysteine hydrochloride, iodine as a catalyst, tert-butyl peroxide as an oxidant, potassium carbonate as a base, as a reaction solvent, and 80ºC for 12 hours, and then 2-formylthiazole is obtained through subsequent treatment.

Application:
